font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>3. Integrating Ontology Extensions.</span></span>
The important points are that if you want your objects to be recognized in the
texts, you should follow some rules:<br>
1. All the classes, the objects belong to, should inherit directly or
indirectly <span class=apple-style-span><span style='font-size:11.5pt;
font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><a
href="http://proton.semanticweb.org/2006/05/protons#Entity"><span
style='color:#006663'>http://proton.semanticweb.org/2006/05/protons#Entity</span></a>.</span></span><br>
2. <span class=apple-style-span><span style='font-size:11.5pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Any
added classes or properties (relations) must be declared visible</span></span>.<br>
Those rules are what the&nbsp; LKB Gazetteer resource uses to fill its lists
from the ontology. So following them will result in the gazetteer using the
objects for recognition.<br>
3. It is also good to be more specific with the inheritance and whenever
possible inherit some of the more specific classes in PROTON Top module. This
also servers as a base for the rules in the Jape Grammars.<br>
